Had a Veterans Day dinner here, husband got a great discount on his meal as a service member. Food was very good, steaks cooked as ordered and sides were great! Nice atmosphere for just a drink or a nice dinner... Would recommend

D.C. is were is at! Come for a nice interior, great service, but stay for the food! Prices aren't too bad. Shots are reasonably priced. The restroom is hidden downstairs and has a 1920's feel to it which is cool. The steak was done to perfection and wish I could've finished it but couldn't. Great place for a big group of people. Lunch, dinner, and /or a date.

Kids meal was pretty good. Steak and a side for only 5.95. My wife and I split the big sirloin so we could save room for good looking desserts. Great service from staff they were amazing. The steak however was pretty tough. It tasted ok but very tough. We got the all American cake dessert. It was ok as well. But my daughter said it tastes like a Pepperidge farms cake. It was not vanilla bean ice cream. Just plain vanilla and they out chocolate syrup on it. For a nicer restaurant I would think they’d use a chocolate sauce and real vanilla bean ice cream. The cake they have might even be better warm as well.

So for a $44 bone in rib eye you will get a... mediocre steak with a practically non existent bone... Peep the photo. Crab cakes are good and the spinach and artichokes dip comes with not so ripe bitter cucumbers (decoration maybe?). Not a local but back in Miami you can get much better service and food for the same money. Extra star for the atmosphere of the place.

Excellent dependable restaurant. Good for small groups in a booth or larger groups at a long table. Interesting beers and good sandwiches, salads and steaks. I have always had good service. The cornbread while you are waiting for your meal is great.

One of my favorite places in the Washington DC area. I enjoy the low light and the atmosphere. The food and drinks are both reasonably priced and good. The customer service is always spot on at well. Highly recommended.

Really good. From NYC and I have to say the Filet Mignon was on point and actually better than just about all. Nice place and they let us in without a reservation. Staff looks like they're on point too.

I was staying in town overnight for a hockey game and was looking for a good restaurant to eat at. This place was across the street from the hotel. Melt in your mouth steaks, a good beer selection, and a excellent staff will make this my go to place the next time I'm in town!

Came by on a Friday for lunch and the crowd was light enough that we were seated right away. The waiter was kind and comedic as well which made it al the more enjoyable.

Awesome filet. Great atmosphere. Kinda weird coming to a chophouse and having cornbread, rather say a french or italian loaf if bread as items to go with appetizers or a salad. Wonderful experience.

The atmosphere is nice! Service was great! I had the prime rib eggs Benedict, which tasted like “steak-Ums”. Maybe the kitchen ran out of the real prime rib because they were busy due to a Caps game, but I am not a fan.” My experience is the food was average!

My honey and I decided to try this place out before the Wizards game last night. The atmosphere, waiter, and food was great. Although, my honey wasn't particularly fond of his beer choice; he still drank it. My drink was great. We will be back soon!

I met a couple of friends here for a quick bite before a Caps game. The three of us sat in a comfy booth and we started with an oatmeal stout (my choice), the house Cab and Chardonnay. We all appreciated our beverage of choice. We split an order of jumbo onion rings and the house cornbread, both tasty. The ladies both had house salads with added crab cakes and I had the salad and a carpaccio. All were excellent with one exception. My cohorts, both southern Maryland natives, were a little let down by the crab cakes’ seasoning. I tried a bite and had to agree it was a bit generic. Our waiter, Francis, was aces.

My husband and I just finished dining here for our 1 year wedding anniversary. We ordered 2 of the NY strip steaks. They were the BEST steaks that we have ever had! Gorgeous setting and phenomenal food! Highly, highly recommend!

Nice atmosphere. Food was tasty, unfortunately steak was overcooked, service was not the best, the server was working almost by herself on the loft. (10 tables aprox). it took a lot of time to bring my second glass of wine and the check.

Another great dinner. Did not make reservations due to it being a spare of the moment thing. Was able to get a table at the upstairs bar. Had a wonderful filet and mash potatoes. Great service and awesome food. Had a great time with prior to last CAPS game of the regular season.

Check out the Prix Fixe $19 lunch menu which includes an appetizer, entree and soft drink with your meal and coffee or tea after. That's quite a bargain for full portions. As always, you get a hot cornbread served in a cast iron skillet. My server Vicky helped me choose the onion soup appetizer by letting me know there was more cheese melted on top of the onion soup than there was crab in the crab bisque. Great choice. The pasta was delicious, but I had to request a doggie bag. No skimping on the quality or amount of food. To top it off, I followed directions on my receipt and answered a survey on line and will get a free appetizer next time I go worth up to $14.95. The regular menu is reasonably priced with a wide range of choices. Conveniently located near the movies, sports center and museums

7 oz. Filet mignon, medium, with green beans and tomatoes was absolutely delicious. Enjoyed two of their home brews, IPA and Brown Ale. Both were delicious, full body, great taste for each style. The cornbread is so good it's like candy. Gotta try this place. Atmosphere is one everyone will enjoy. Make sure you make this a stop during you DC visit.

Went there for lunch and got a good honey mustard bacon chicken sandwich. Fresh cornbread is a nice starter and the craft beer I had topped it all off quite well.

It was a busy night, but we wanted to try this place because we heard great things. Since it was a capitals game night, we waited a long time for our appetizers. We were about to leave since we had already received/paid for our drinks, but alerted our original server who immediately told the manager Bill of the situation. Bill did a fantastic job addressing our concerns. He remedied the situation quickly and had us leaving feeling awesome about our experience. We would tell anyone to come here!

Took in a little October Fest snacks and drinks before the game. Great service and specials. Try the pretzel sliders, yum. Also the beer selection was very good. I highly recommend stopping by if in the area. Note to self, do the onion rings tower next time. Look amazing.

Awesome dining experience in a DC local brewery. Food is superb, and the staff is very friendly and courteous. My girlfriend also got a small tour of the lower level of the restaurant. Turns out the building use to be a bank, and the elevator is an original piece. In fact elevator aficionados come to the restaurant to ride that elevator! Very cool place full of history, good food, good drinks, and great people.

We ate her for brunch the last day we where in DC. It was delicious and inexpensive. The manger found out it was our anniversary and gave us complimentary dessert. He even spoke with us for a while. It was one of my favorite parts about our trip. I can’t wait to go back .

Best Lamb, Mashed Potatoes, Apple Cobbler, and Tots i’ve ever had. Great service on a very busy day. If you are in DC and don't mind spending a bit more money, check this place out above all else. As i was sharing with my mother who prefers well cooked meat, i got the New Zealand Lamb medium rather than medium rare and it still had great color and was potent and juicy. cornbread and bite of my brother’s cheese pizza were also delicious. Closest thing i have to a complaint is the cornbread is somewhat dry. Hope to come back soon!P. S. The hard candies at the front desk are cinnamon, just a warning.

My friend and I enjoyed a wonderful three-course meal during Restaurant Week! My order of the Brazilian rack of lamb was well plated and absolutely delicious! It was so good that although I wanted to save some to take home I could not! Our waiter, TJ, was excellent! He was kind, funny, attentive oh, and always greeted us with a smile. He was also very helpful when making menu selections. I recommend booking a reservation if there's a Caps game the day you want to go because it will be packed!

Great service, good food,I have ordered their steak and it was on point, juicy and easy to chew. Menu offers good selection of beer that is made on site, I just wish it was served a little colder. Bathroom situation is kind of weird. You need to take an elevator just to wash your hands, so I am not a big fan of this. I guess, if restaurant owners could do better, they probably would.

The staff was very very very nice. The ones we had conversation with, had a great sense of humor and they were knowledgeable in the dishes. The steaks were cooked to perfection. The drinks were good, however, mine came a little weak, my friend's came a little strong. Considering the price and food quality, this place is near perfect.

Sunday brunch. Small plates providing tasty food at high values. The prices were reasonable enough that I had low expectations for the food quality, but my expectations were resoundingly surpassed. Crab cakes were almost all large lump crab with almost no filler. The menu also has several options that sound delicious, so we'll have to come back to try more. Good service. Nice atmosphere. Definitely earned a five star rating today.

Their steak is amazing! I’ve been to this restaurant several times and have had great service each time. This is a great restaurant to take out-of-towers to since it’s the oldest brewery in DC, and is also a good place to visit during DC Restaurant Week. The noise level depends on where you sit — it’s definitely louder in the booths along the back row as the kitchen is right behind them.

The service here was excellent. Our waiter was really cool. Inside its like a typical steak house dark with white table cloths. I came during restaurant week and I tried the lamb chops. They were really good. I loved the chipotle peach sauce and the meat was cooked to the perfect temp that I requested. This place was great.

The ambiance and great food & drinks selection makes this spot an ideal place for dinner/lunch with friends, family, or colleagues. The cornbread and spinach/artichoke dip are always a hit, but we also loved the salmon & crabcakes! Although, maybe more plant-based options in the future would be great.

We popped in her for a late lunch while at the nearby National Portrait Gallery. Service was a bit spotty but the food was very good. They brought out a small skillet of cornbread to start that was fantastic and I am very picky about my cornbread! To continue the Carbfest I was on, I went with the Chicken and Waffles. This was more of a savory rendition of the dish as opposed to a sweet, different from what I was used to, which I appreciated.Really the only downfall here was that the server started out borderline hostile but warmed up as the meal went on. Perhaps she had a difficult customer just prior to us because she became more personable the longer that we were sitting at the table. Overall a solid meal!

No. The best way to get there is to take the subway. Once off, walk a block.

Jeans are totally acceptable here- before a Caps game you might look silly if you're not wearing jeans and a hockey jersey
